How to Get There
Bergerac is less than a 30-minute drive away, and the large city of Bordeaux is 90 minutes away, both with airports. It is the only bastide connected by a National Road (RN21). Bordeaux also offers a direct TGV connection to Paris in just 2 hours. Agen, less than an hour away, also has a TGV station.
Ideally located in the northern Lot-et-Garonne, just a few kilometers from the Dordogne, this historic site allows you to explore one of France's most historically rich regions, from prehistory to the present day.

A Living Heritage
Castillonnès is not just a medieval town frozen in a bygone era; it is a place that thrives, innovates, and reinvents itself.
Through exhibitions, publications, festive events, craftsmanship, and captivating projects, we create a dialogue between history and contemporary creativity in an environment that inspires the joy of living.

From Yesterday to Today
CASTILLONNÈS
At the heart of our project, we are working towards the purchase, restoration, and enhancement of an ancient building, a true treasure of Castillonnès' heritage. Our ambition is to create a center for art and culture, as well as a museum, to bring local traditions back to life—arts, craftsmanship, regional brotherhoods, and Freemasonry—through an open, dynamic, and international approach.
Throughout the year, we offer cultural and artistic events, including painting exhibitions, historical lectures, craft workshops, and festivals. Our ambition is to make the bastide a place of learning, creativity, and exchange for everyone.
Each month, our publication Le Tambour de Castillonnès – The Spirit of the Bastide highlights the craftsmanship, personalities, and events that bring the bastide to life. Available in both print and digital formats, this magazine explores local history, gives a voice to key figures, and announces upcoming events.
