An association devoted to Castillonnès and its heritage
Created by lovers of the bastide and its history, our association is dedicated to:

Publishing a free monthly journal and books about the Castillonnès region (or by authors residing in the Castillonnès area),

Conducting research and preservation efforts (archives, documents, objects, and local heritage sites and mysteries),

Organizing conferences and events that enrich the town and its residents,

Welcoming and bringing together all those who wish to contribute to the cultural vitality of the region,

Protecting and enhancing the tangible and intangible heritage of Castillonnès, for example through volunteer restoration projects,

Supporting the creation of a future center for art, culture, and a museum dedicated to the heritage of Castillonnès, using the most advanced presentation techniques,

Working for the future of the town’s living heritage.

Our association, Patrimoine Vivant de Castillonnès, is committed to preserving, transmitting and promoting the cultural heritage of this exceptional place.
Au cœur de notre projet, nous œuvrons pour l’achat, la restauration et la mise en valeur d’un bâtiment ancien, véritable trésor du patrimoine de Castillonnès. Notre ambition est d’y créer un centre d’art et de culture ainsi qu’un musée, afin de faire revivre les traditions locales (Arts, savoir-faire, confréries de la région, franc-maçonnerie) dans une approche ouverte, vivante et internationale.
Toute l’année, nous proposons des rencontres culturelles et artistiques : expositions de peinture, conférences historiques, ateliers d’artisanat, festivals… Notre ambition est de faire de la bastide un lieu de transmission et de création pour tous.
Nous contribuons à l’inventaire des archives, documents et objets anciens. Nous collaborons avec des historiens, des chercheurs et des passionnés pour approfondir la connaissance du passé et assurer la préservation des trésors de Castillonnès.
Recherche et sauvegarde
Une part de notre héritage réside dans l’art de vivre et la convivialité. Notre confrérie, inspirée des traditions festives régionales, organise banquets, intronisations et rencontres avec d’autres confréries pour célébrer la gastronomie et le terroir de Castillonnès.
Confrérie & événements gastronomiques
Chaque mois, notre publication “Le Tambour de Castillonnès - L'esprit de la Bastide” met en lumière les savoir-faire, les personnalités et les événements qui font vibrer la bastide. Disponible en version papier et numérique, ce magazine retrace l’histoire, donne la parole aux acteurs locaux, et annonce les manifestations à venir.

How to Get There
Bergerac is less than a 30-minute drive away, and the large city of Bordeaux is 90 minutes away, both with airports. It is the only bastide connected by a National Road (RN21). Bordeaux also offers a direct TGV connection to Paris in just 2 hours. Agen, less than an hour away, also has a TGV station.
Ideally located in the northern Lot-et-Garonne, just a few kilometers from the Dordogne, this historic site allows you to explore one of France's most historically rich regions, from prehistory to the present day.
